Notebook Date: Wednesday, December 12 Subject: Health (project) th Objective: Students will be able to explain in their own words five topics related to Health (Emotional and physical) in a kind of “Magazine for Teenagers”. It has to include problems and possible solutions. Project step by step: Your body work must be at least of 5 pages (maximum 10) both sides. Put number pages on the right corner down each page. Cover: create your personal cover using the best illustrations, phrases, letter type, colors, etc. to present it like a magazine to get the reader´s attention. Do not forget to include: Subject, full name, grade, group, list number, date. You can put it on the right corner down your cover. Index: List of topics in chronological order and their number pages. Introduction: why we must take care of our health nowadays, why governments, schools and media promote emotional and physical health. The topics you must include are: 1. Personal Risk Behavior 2. Dangers of Addictions 3. Negative Influences 4. Physical Fitness 5. Food Choices You must include problems and solutions for the topics. Do not forget you are presenting a magazine, so you need to include cut outs or photos, colors, designs for decorating, etc. It has to be done by hand, nice handwriting, black ink pen (for short phrases or important details you can use other colors), and neat, organized and following a logical sequence to link the topics. You can use your own personal way to describe the topics. Remember you are making a magazine for teenagers, so you can use casual ways to explain your information. You will explain your project in class: what information people will read in this magazine, what you learned, how you made it, what your experiences were, what are your expectations. Notes: You will have 3 minutes to explain your magazine in class. At least you must include two cut outs or photo for each topic. Due date: Magazine must be printed and handed in on December 10th. Date: Friday, December 14 th Resources Notebook Quizzes Subject: Science (project) Objective: Students will explain in their own words the importance of Biodiversity, problems and possible solutions to take care of it. They will make a presentation in Power Point to support their explanation. Project Step by step: The presentation in power point must be of 10 slideshows (only the body work). Make a Cover page at the beginning of the presentation including: your full name, school logo, topic (Biodiversity), subject, teacher´s name and date. Introduction: you will explain in one page what your project is about ( why this topic is important, how and what you want to express to increase public awareness of Biodiversity´s damage) Body work has to be explained in your own words including 5 different problems and possible solutions, include your opinion, consequences, and thoughts. Include pictures (related with the problem or solution), graphics, etc. and interesting details that enrich and support the topic. Personal conclusion: you will state what you learned, what your experiences were about the work, what you expect from people´s awareness. References at the end of the body work in one page: sources in which you took information: websites, books, magazines, encyclopedias, etc. You will explain in the classroom what your presentation was about giving important details of your work Notes: It is an individual work Copy & Paste is not allowed (it is in your own words) You will have 5 minutes to explain your project to the class.
