Placing of orders
You can place your orders in two ways.
Option 1: You have received an offer
In this case, send us an email referring to the offer and title of production. You will receive
an order confirmation with a corresponding project number. This project number will be the
basis of further communication.
Together with the order confirmation you will be given the name of your personal assistant
taking care of all questions referring to your production.
The order confirmation as well as the rights declaration (you hereby declare to be the owner of the copy rights) have to be signed and sent to us via post mail or e-mail. Please
note that the delivery date mentioned in the order confirmation is provisional.
Only if the production documents are presented according to the specifications the real delivery date can be determined
Option 2: You place your order online via hofa-shop.com
You receive an automatic confirmation of your order. After the order placement you receive
all relevant information about how to send us the production documents.

Please note:
Always refer to the project number. In general, wav-files cannot be used as a press template for CD production. If you send us a template as CDR, please burn it with the “Disc-atOnce Mode”.
Press Template DVD
a) You send us a DDP-Image in a ZIP file
b) b) You send us a burnt DVD
Due to the data volume and the type of internet connection it may be advisable to send the
DVD in physical form, the DVD9 even on a hard disc.
Press Template Blu-ray
Please send us a burnt Blu-ray or hard disc.
Print Data
- Select the best print technique (screen or offset printing) for your media
- Measures according to specifications include 3 mm trimming
- Standard printing in CMYK color mode, not RGB
- Set print color mode on Euroscale Coated V or Fogra 27
- Best image resolution with files of 1200dpi, photo/picture data at 300 dpi
- Don’t set „Over Printing“ with colored motifs on a non-white background
- Output format is generally a PDF, not an open file
- Data transfer in digital or physical form (see order placement)

The production

Production Process
- We receive your order together with the production documents
- We check your data; after that, we generally send an official release
- Should the data not correspond to the specifications you will be informed accordingly
- After release, the preliminary stage is complete and your production passes on to
processing (the real production time starts)
- The standard production time, including delivery, is of 1 working day
- Bei Bedarf können wir nach Absprache die Produktionszeit auch verkürzen.
- Your goods can be dispatched on time if we have received all formal documents from you.
These are: order placement, signed order conformation, rights declaration as well as the
release declaration of GEMA. All relevant GEMA documents can be found in “Downloads”
on hofa-shop.com
- In case of an advance payment agreement, the invoice amount should be transferred
to our account 2 working days previous to the planned delivery date
You can always check your client status accessing your personal client account with your
login data under hofa-shop.com. You receive your login data as soon as you have generated your client account.

3. Print Data
- All necessary print data as printable PDF files
- Data must be generated according to HOFA-Specifications
- Open Data are subject to extra costs
4. Order Confirmation/Rights Declaration
- You have received, checked, signed and sent back the documents to HOFA-Media
5. GEMA Release Declaration
Audio-CDs or data carriers with audio content are liable to registration to GEMA. Costs
arise in case of the use of GEMA repertoire. The corresponding application is filled in and
given in to HOFA-Media, at latest parallel to the order confirmation. The processing time on
behalf of GEMA is of 10 working days. The release declaration has to be present at HOFAMedia as a precondition for the start of the delivery of goods.
