What is a globe? a small model of the Earth

equator - the line on the globe halfway between the North Pole and the South
Pole
poles - the northern-most and southern-most points on the Earth

Where Do We Live?
We live in the Western & Northern Hemispheres.
We live on the continent of North America. The other 2 large
countries on this continent are Canada and Mexico.
The name of our country is the United States. There
are 50 states in it, but when it first became a country, there were only 13 states.
The name of our state is New York. Its capital city is Albany.
