Mansfield High School Sports Hall of Fame Inductees Selected
The Mansfield High School Hall of Fame Committee is proud to announce that the
2016 inductees have been selected and will be honored on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the 5th
annual Hall of Fame banquet to be held at the Mansfield Holiday Inn.
This year's honorees include four new members to the longtime Football Hall of Fame:
Matthew Carpenter (1993), Bruce Burley (2002), Thomas Creeden (2005) and his brother, Jeff
Creeden (2006); bringing the total to 118 all-time inductees.
The Basketball Hall of Fame includes two boys’ basketball standouts: Kevin Fallon (1966) and
Mike Piccolomini (1975). Mr. Fallon is already a Football Hall of Fame inductee. The two
girls’ basketball standouts to be inducted are Erin Higgins (2006) and classmate Kelly Regan
(2006). Ms. Regan will become the second female athlete to be inducted in two separate sports
with her induction into the newly formed Soccer Hall of Fame. In addition to Ms. Regan, the
Soccer Hall of Fame will induct Roberta MacIvor (1993) and Karl Stukis (1997).
The Field Hockey Hall of Fame will add four new members: Marti Hinchey (1975), Denise
(Hughes) Burbank (1988), Carrie (Flammia) Ciccarelli (1997) and Katie Higgins (2006). Ms.
Higgins will join her twin sister, Erin, as M.H.S. Hall of Famers. Also, Ms. Ciccarelli’s
induction will complete three generations of M.H.S. Hall of Famers along with her Aunt, Laurie
Hill (1971), and her Grandfather, Don Hill (1941)!
In addition, the Committee will induct former three-sport standout, Robin (Briggs) Cushman
(1967) as the second inductee into the special category of Legend of Women’s Sports at MHS.
All former Mansfield High student-athletes, Hall of Famers, and fans are invited to attend the
ceremony and dinner. Cocktail hour begins at 5:45 pm and the banquet begins at 6:30 pm.
Reservations are $45 per person and tables of ten can be reserved for $450. Checks should be
mailed to the Hall of Fame Committee, P.O. Box 481, Mansfield, MA 02048, no later than
November 18th and include the name of each attendee. Seating is also available through PayPal
