Moon Over Buffalo, a comedy, Hurrah! Comedies are not easy to find, but when I read
this one and laughed out loud, I knew it was “the one” for the students to perform. Just
knowing that Carol Burnett played the role of Charlotte on Broadway is enough to help
anyone of a certain age understand this play would be fun to produce. Then, realizing the
students would also learn to sword fight, made choosing this show an easy task. James
Fletcher, expert fight choreographer (as well as actor, director, etc.), brought the element
of sword fighting alive for the students and gave them an experience they will never
forget! The entire process of putting this show on its feet has been enjoyable. Kristi
Ross-Clausen, technical director, has been an outstanding addition to the Nicolet theater
department. We share the belief that theater can empower students, and we are working together to guide the students’ talents and passions toward quality and entertaining
productions. We hope you have as much fun watching the show as the cast and crew
have had making it happen!
