CWD LENDS AID TO TORNADO VICTIMS
When disaster struck on Tuesday,
April 3rd, one of the hardest hit cities in the
DFW metroplex was the City of Forney.
The two tornados which touched down in
the city damaged 73 homes and injured
seven people.
Community Waste Disposal, which
services Forney, was on hand during the
aftermath to help pick up the pieces. CWD
contributed equipment and personnel
beginning the following day at 6:30 a.m.
CWD representative J.B. Sweeney worked
with the Forney staff to ensure a timely
and successful cleanup. CWD ultimately
removed approximately 2,700 cubic yards
of storm debris and loose brush from the
streets of Forney.
