Do you know anything about Georgia? If you don't then keep reading. I will tell
you about the state nickname, population, what is the state capital of Georgia, the
region and many more. Georgia's state nickname is The Empire State Of The South.
Isn't that a weird nickname. The state capital is Atlanta. The largest city is Atlanta. The
major cities are Savanna, Warner Robins, and Columbia. The population is 8,816,453.
WOW that is a lot of people. The number of counties is 159. The surrounding states are
Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

The of Georgia is the Southeast. The large rivers are Chattahoochee river,
Savanna river, and the Suwannee river. The large lakes are Lake Sidney Lonier, Clark
Hill Lake, West Point Lake, and Lake Hartwell. The highest point is Brasstown. The
national park is the Centennial Olympic Park. The landforms found in Georgia are the
Appalachain Plateau, the Appalachian ridge, the Valley Region, and the Blue Ridge.

state bird is a Brown Thrasher Ha :) that's funny I have a teacher named Mrs. Thrasher.
The state mammal is the Right Whale. The state insect is a honey bee. The state flower
is a cherokee rose. The state tree is a live oak.

famous because he is a soldier. The last one is Andrew Jackson Young Jr. And he is a
civil rights leader.
Why is my state famous?
Now I will tell you about places that people go in my state. When people go to my
state they go to the national forest, the state park, and the aquarium.
