Nursery Rhyme Week
The children really enjoyed Nursery
Rhyme week. Their favourite Nursery
Rhyme was: Doctor Foster Went to
Gloucester.
Children in Need
THANK YOU for your kind
donations we raised £98 for
children in need.
The children had a great time
participating in the Children
Need activities.
Its cold outside brrrr…….
Now the weather is cold outside
please make sure your child
brings a coat to nursery and has a
hat, scarf and gloves. The
children really enjoy outdoor
play and it is an important part
of the curriculum, therefore the
children still go outside in the
winter. We would like to make
sure they are warm and cosy as
they play outside.

Mornings:

If you have a special event or your child
has done something that has made you
proud please email them to nursery. It
could be a picture of your child reading
a book, baking or a special festival. It
can be anything. We will put the photos
into your child’s learning journey file.
Then when your child is looking through
their learning journey they will see
photos from home.

Attendance and arriving on time
It is important your child
attends nursery everyday unless
they are poorly. If your child is
not going to be attending
nursery because they are poorly
please phone nursery as soon as
you can.
Nursery session starts at 8:45
and 12:30 please make sure
your child arrives on time so
they don’t miss any of their
session. We do understand if
there are siblings and you need
to get them to school first.
Nursery sessions finish at 11:45
and 3:30 please make sure you
arrive on time to pick your child
up.

If in extreme
circumstances you are
going to be late, please
phone nursery to let us
know.

If you are more than 10
minutes late to collect
your child there will be a
late collection charge.
Developing Independent Skills and Toilet Training
.
For children in Nappies please
ensure there are plenty of
nappies and wipes in your
child’s bag as well as spare
clothes.
The average age for toilet
training is between the ages of
2-3 years.
For those children who are
moving from the 2 Year Old
Classroom to the Nursery
Classroom it would be really
helpful if you could begin to
encourage the process of toilet
training. This will ensure the
children have a toilet plan in
place and the staff in the nursery
classroom can continue to
support this. Please ensure your
child has plenty of spare clothes
in their bag.
Christmas Party!!
Christmas Party is on Thursday
15th December. Please bring
your child to nursery for their
normal time 8:45 morning
children and 12:30 afternoon
children. Your child can wear
their party clothes if you wish.
The session will finish at normal
finishing time. Morning children
finish: 11:45 and Afternoon
children finish at 3:30. Please
collect your child in time.
Christmas Concert
