Scott E. Brown, M.D., is chief of the
Department of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
Dr. Brown serves as co-director of
Neurophysiology and director of the Spasticity
Program for the LifeBridge Health Brain &
Spine Institute.
Dr. Brown earned his medical degree at
Rutgers Medical School, which was followed by
a general surgery internship at New York
University/Bellevue Hospital Center in New York.
He completed his residency training in physical
medicine and rehabilitation at Montefiore
Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of
Medicine, New York.
Dr. Brown is a past president of the Performing
Arts Medicine Association and has been co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Dance Medicine &
Science. Dr. Brown is board certified in physical
medicine and rehabilitation, with subspecialty
certifications in pain medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine. His awards include the Leo M.
Davidoff Society Award for excellence in teachContinued on the back

teaching at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Sinai
Hospital physical medicine and rehabilitation residents. His clinical interests include pain management, movement disorders, spasticity, performing
