side-splitting comedy, magic, music + more...
An eclectic group of performance artists are painting and creating
their masterpieces and we’ve got an international menu to please all
foodies. This year Gold Coast Skydive will take it up a notch and
attempt to land a parachute on the back of a moving jet ski. This
stunt’s only ever been attempted once before in Australia, so watch
out creek-side on Sunday afternoon.
Want to try juggling or hula? Look out for Tony and Dee’s colourful
classes. Shop ‘til you drop at our ‘Buskers Bazaars’ and take home
a treasure. There’s everything from clothing and handmade jewels,
to artwork and trinkets. Got no cash? Got you covered – ATM’s are
parkside.
Buskers by the Creek is a registered Not For Profit organisation. All
profits from the sale of our merchandise contribute towards the high
running costs of our community festival. We endeavour to keep
Buskers by the Creek un-ticketed and your purchase of our bottled
water and festival shirts will assist us in this challenge. Thank you!

Ruby Rubberlegs will be squeezing and shrinking, her contortion skills set to astound! We've
broken all creative boundaries to bring a 'floating' BMX and skateboard spectacle, with SPENT
celebrity rider Chris James and friends showcasing stunts creekside. Our half pipe will become
Saturday and Sunday night's hot spot, with Energy Entertainments closing the night's celebrations
atop with thundering fire.
Adam Brand may be one of Australia's most successful recording artists and the winner of 12
Golden Guitar awards and he's jumped on-board and is bringing his busking boot scoot. There'll
be loads of other interactive jamming with Electrik Lemonade, The Lyrical, Leopolds Treat, Juzzie
Smith and last year's 'Battle of the Buskers' winners, The Scrims. Due to popular demand, crowd
favourites Space Cowboy, Kenny Slide, Dan Hannaford, Matty Rogers, Tristan O’Meara and
Barefoot Friday are re-appearing. Audiences will also be captivated by the raw sounds of 2016
Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking Grommet Champions, Maple and also 'discover the undiscovered'
with a colourful collection of emerging singer/songwriters thrown into the mix.

Busker – A person who entertains in a public place for donations!
In other words, the talent are not paid by us to perform and rely on your generous
donations. We have our 'Tip Picks' for sale at the info tent, with each token worth
$1 to the artist... or you’re welcome to throw them wads of notes! All generous
gratuities given will be received with thanks and the purchase of merchandise will
also support our talent on their road to success.
SIDE STREET EVENTS – FREE ENTRY
BATTLE OF THE BUSKERS sees our top emerging singer/songwriters battle it
out on stage in fight for the 'Totally Talented' title. 7pm kick off at the Currumbin
Creek Tavern on Friday 14th October. Adam Brand is a guest judge in the hotseat!
DECK ACOUSTICS from 12pm until 5pm. On Saturday 15th October, 'Buskers by
the Creek' @ The Deck Waterside is taking place at Currumbin RSL. Not only will
there be live music from Luke Houselander and Joshy Dredz, there'll be great food,
water front views and awesome service!
SEED SHOWCASE is being held at the Currumbin Creek Tavern from 7:30pm on
Saturday 15th October. Powered by the Popular Music program at Queensland
Conservatorium, Griffith University, SEED is an innovative artist agency that helps
emerging musicians find their feet. This showcase will feature the cream of the
crop, so get along for another awesome night of live entertainment.
