Tour Highlight- Republic Day Parade Spectacle in New Delhi on January 26
Featuring: Mumbai, Udaipur, Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi and Delhi
Dear University of Arizona Alumni and Friends,
We invite you to join us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience as we explore
the sights, tastes and sounds, spirituality, complex history, and mixed
cultures of India. With temperatures averaging 70.5° Fahrenheit, January is
an ideal month for travel to this mystical and eternal land.
As ancient as time itself, the Indian subcontinent was once a region of vast empires and historic trade routes. The land
was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history. Four of the world's major religions
― Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism ― originated here. Its art, architecture, and natural wonders continue to
beckon travelers from all over the world.
Today, India is the most populous democracy in the world. With over 1.2 billion people, it is an emerging leader in
technology development. India offers a remarkable perspective on the intersection between the ancient and the
modern.
Our itinerary starts in Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, the next stop is in romantic Udaipur, luring travelers
with its lakes and palaces, followed by the rose-pink city of Jaipur where we will ride an elephant! In Agra we will
behold the splendor of the Taj Mahal – a “poem in marble,” and then witness sacred rituals on the Ganges River in
Varanasi. We will spend our last few days in Delhi where we will see the spectacular Republic Day Parade.
Two private receptions with University of Arizona alumni living in Mumbai and Delhi have been arranged to celebrate
our alma mater. I have personally been working closely with our travel partner to design an engaging and unique
experience ― including accommodations at some of India’s finest hotels.
Space is limited to no more than 24 travelers, so we encourage you to make your reservations now!
Yours in World Travel,
NANCY DARU YAELI, J.D.
