Principal, UMA Middle School Community Service Honoree: ACLAMO Family Centers Performances by UMASD Students: Vocal and instrumental musical renditions Dramatic performances Art, Prose, Poetry & Video Contest previews, acknowledgements & winners Refreshments follow program. MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 2016: ANNUAL DAY of SERVICE: Day of Service Highlights: Free Transportation: Round-trip bus: 9:30 am from Upper Merion Township Bldg to Bethesda Philadelphia (a residence for once-homeless people); return @ 1:30 pm Activities: Volunteers will bring breakfast foods, then prepare, and serve lunch at this permanent residence for formerly homeless men and women. Service project includes housecleaning – supplies will be provided. We’ll read from Dr. King’s book “Why We Can’t Wait”, and celebrate the holiday with songs and music. All ages welcome.
