CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL — C.S.A.
Holy Spirit–Spark our faith into ac on! Your generous contribu ons bring programs to life
throughout the Diocese, and it is through these programs and ministries that we share the
Good News of Jesus Christ. The final chapter in our a empt to define the programs, services
and benefits of the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) are as follows: Special Diocesan Masses
and liturgical celebra ons such as the Chrism Mass, the Jubilee Mass for married couples, Televised Mass, the Annual Diocesan Conference, Ethnic Ministries, Prison and Hospital Ministries and High Desert Catholic Magazine.
APELACION
DE
SERVICIOS CATOLICOS — C.S.A.

Good and gracious God, a new year of grace is upon us, giving us impressions of crisp beginnings new goals, a
fresh sense of hope. Though we cling to our own expectations for the year ahead, we know you alone are the
sovereign of our future, Lord of our lives, and the source of whatever good we may do. We thank you, O Lord,
for the gift of the days and weeks you have entrusted to us. Teach us to be good stewards of our time ahead,
that we go about our days keeping you at the center of our lives.
In the midst of our daily pursuits and activities, focus our eyes on the needs of others; help us respond with compassion to the poor; and open our hearts to a suffering world.
We ask for a year of peace, a year that brings an end to hatred and strife, and a year where we find a deeper joy
that can only be found in you. We ask this through Christ your Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy
Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen
VIII Sunday in Ordinary Time
St. Paul reminds us as baptized Christians, as those who have shared the Eucharist with one another,
that we are “servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” We are not to define ourselves by
our age, ethnicity, gender, social status, work, vocation or avocation. Our primary self-understanding
should be that of servants and stewards of the Lord and all that has been entrusted to us.
Can we accept this self-understanding? Do we find it encouraging?

No podemos

MONTHLY MEMORIAL MASS
At Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery will be celebrated on Wednesday,
March 1, at 11:00 AM in the Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum Chapel.
All are cordially invited to a end. Ashes will be distributed.
ENTRADA
