Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful: Job Duties Design, develop, implement, and administer cloud servers using Azure, AWS, or other cloud infrastructure environments Design, develop, implement, and administer cloud networking and load balancing using Azure, AWS, or other cloud infrastructure environments Work with on premise Windows and linux servers and storage using Microsoft, VMWare, Red Hat, 3PAR, HP XP, or other server/storage products and services Administer on-premise server networking and load balancing using Microsoft, VMWare, F5 Networks, or other products and services Supervise enterprise server & datacenter monitoring and reporting technologies, such as SCOM, ExtraHop, Splunk, RedSeal, Imperva, or other products and services Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery services to support enterprise high-availability and recovery needs Support IT security functionality, as it relates to maintaining a secure infrastructure environment Administer middleware/front end technology such as BizTalk, reverse proxies, or other middleware products or services Essential skills Minimum 4 years of recent experience as a Systems Engineer for a medium to large-sized (500+ nodes) network Bachelor's degree preferably in computer sciences or related field, or comparable work experience Experience in installing, managing, and monitoring servers on Azure, Amazon AWS, and/or Vcloud Air preferred Strong foundation in IT applications and development methodology (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, post implementation support) Strong knowledge of ITIL and release management concepts Knowledge of SCRUM as a development method for Agile Strong technical, quantitative, & analytical problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically & translate strategy into action plans & experience in root cause analysis and network performance tuning Proven ability to learn new technologies and responsibilities Hands-on experience with recovery methodologies & technologies supporting an enterprise wide DC environment Hands-on experience with hardware and storage functionality, capabilities, and limitations Possess working knowledge of IT Security, as it relates to building secure infrastructure environments Possess working knowledge of middleware/front end technology administration management and support Location: Rocklin, CA; Beaverton, OR; or Mountain View, CA Schedule requirements: Sundays Equal Opportunity Employer Qualifications Education Preferred Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field.
