When planning finger food for your party, allow 5-7 pieces/appetizers per person. If no entrée is being
served, 8-12 pieces are appropriate especially if food is served around mealtime. For desserts, 3 cookies
per person or one bar or piece of cake/pie should be adequate for dessert after a meal. If planning a
reception, count each piece of dessert as one appetizer.
