WHAT IS IT?
Have you ever wanted to make many copies of your
own artwork? that too without using the computer
or without digital printing?
Have you ever wondered how to make small rubber
stamps which you can use to decorate your journals
or art projects?
Have you always wanted to take a break from the
computers and do some hands-on print making?
Relief printing is one of the oldest process of
printing where protruding surface of the printing
plate or block are inked; recessed areas are ink
free. The image is printed by inking the face
of the surface and bringing it in firm contact
with the paper. Each copy of the print gives you
unique results, with a much lesser carbon foot
print as compared to computer generated prints.
Letterpress is a method of relief printing which
uses metal or wooden block of letters which are
composed into text from which prints are taken
on paper.
