Addendum 1 for RFCSP 025-17 Phase I Security Cameras
The following items clarify the plans and specifications and shall become a part of the contract documents. Persons wishing
to submit Proposal 025-17 Phase I Security Cameras will have until 2:00 PM CST, April 11, 2017 to submit their proposal
in writing to Shelley Freeman in the Purchasing Department at 3124 Carson Street, Haltom City, TX 76117. Only sealed
proposals will be accepted. Faxed, emailed and/or late proposals will not be accepted for any reason.
Clarifications are made in the below sections. Clarifications are bolded and underlined:
BISD RESPONSIBILITIES
Birdville ISD shall ensure that each location has network drops to the camera sites. There are four locations that
cabling is not currently installed, but will be during the course of the contract if not before. The locations that
require cabling are Smithfield Middle School, Jack C. Binion Elementary, O.H.Stowe Elementary and C.F. Thomas
Elementary.
Birdville ISD shall be responsible for all programming of the cameras in the Intelli-Site system. BISD will provide
the IP addresses and the passwords for the installer to program.
Birdville ISD shall provide patch cables to the successful contractor as part of this proposal.
Birdville ISD shall allow contractors to utilize the district lift at the high school locations if required.
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Contractor will be required to obtain a district Contractor Badge for entry into the buildings. Contractor can begin
work at 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. starting after Notice to Proceed until June 2, 2017. After that time, contractor
can begin normal business hours and evening hours if needed to make the completion date of August 11, 2017.
Contractor shall be responsible for program the IP address to each camera by utilizing a bank of numbers provided
by Birdville ISD. As part of the setup of each camera, the contractor shall also program the generic password.
CAMERA INSTALLATION/FOCUS/AIM
The installation of security cameras will require coordination with Birdville ISD Security Engineer for adjustments and
final approval of camera recording views/angles of each camera during installation. Birdville ISD Security Engineer will
be available during installation if needed. Contractor shall contact the Security Engineer if a network cable needs to
be moved. The district cabling is CommScope and any relocation must be done by the district’s contractor only.
All cameras, mounts, hardware and licensing will be provided by the contractor.
Contractor shall penetrate buildings and utilize ½” EMT minimum sleeves and bushings. Contractor shall also use
surface mount blue masonry screws, Tapcom and 3/8” red head sleeve anchors where required. The Ceiling Device
Mount shall be a Music Supply Company, Inc. CDM-2 or approved equal.

Birdville ISD requires contractor to include with this project an as-built document that will list each camera with
corresponding drop number, IP address, MAC address, serial number and location.
Contractor shall be responsible for installation of the cameras including any penetration to the building. All
penetrations shall be successful patched and filled to the approval of BISD.
After Contractor successfully installs cameras and mounts, the camera shall be configured for maximum and optimal
coverage. Angles are appropriate for the site and lens zooming in accordance with the camera specifications and as
requested by the BISD Security Engineer. Consider aim and focus based on internal and external light conditions.
CURRENT SECURITY CAMERA ENVIRONMENT
Birdville ISD has an existing camera network infrastructure and utilizes Panasonic cameras as a district standard on a Video
Insight software platform for both indoor and outdoor cameras.
The equipment supplied must be of new (not used or demo units) and best quality and installed in accordance with approved
recommendations of the manufacture thereof, and must conform to the equipment specifications listed below. Cameras and
mounts to be provided as part of this proposal include the following:

SITE VISITS
Site visits are not required. If a contractor wants to visit a site prior to the proposal opening. those visits will be coordinated
with Chris Reese, Security Engineer at 817-547-5650.
RFCSP RESPONSE CHECKLIST
To be considered for award of this solicitation, all pages contained in the “Packet” (including but not limited to forms A –
N, Required Federal Contract Provisions, the Cover Page, plus any/all attachments, must be completed with all requested
information, SIGNED and RETURNED in a sealed envelope or other appropriate package adequate to conceal and contain
the contents prior to the RFCSP date and time. Each RFCSP shall be placed in a separate envelope and properly identified
with the RFCSP Number, RFCSP Title, Name of Company submitting RFCSP, and the established time and date to be
opened.
Please verify that the documents listed below have been completed, signed, and included in your RFCSP prior to submittal.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD, ALL MANDATORY FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED, SIGNED AND
RETURNED WITH THIS SOLICITATION.

SECTION III
PROPOSAL PRICING
A total lump sum package will be accepted. Pricing shall be entered into the proposal pricing form based on a bulk order of cameras as one total billable
cost and installation charges per location as another billable cost per location. Again, the bulk cameras can be billed at one time with acceptance from
Birdville ISD and delivery to the Birdville ISD Technology Department Warehouse located at 3126 Carson Street, Haltom City, TX 76117 (lift gate
required). Installation and miscellaneous installation charges may be billed per location after completion and acceptance by Birdville ISD.
There is a total of 355 cameras to be installed as outlined on the attached maps. The cameras and mount types have cut-sheets attached.
