The Elpas Infant Protection Bracelet is an
ankle worn Active RFID Tag that provides
abduction and mother-baby mismatch
deterrence for infants in maternity and
neonatal departments from time of birth
until discharge.
The bracelet is comprised of a reusable
Active RFID Tag with a disposable
size-adjustable, tamper-resistant anklet
band made from baby friendly skin safe
materials.
The tag bundles EMI safe signaling
technologies to deliver precise Real-Time
Location System (RTLS) data. When
bringing the baby near any protected exit
without proper staff supervision the tag
transmits positioning data that identifies
the baby at risk and pinpoints the precise
building location of the evolving incident.
This RTLS data is then used by the Elpas
BabyMatch System or integrated into
other legacy security systems for triggering
security response protocols.
The Infant Protection Bracelet is part
of the growing portfolio of Elpas application specific Active RFID Tags
designed to suit the safety, security
and visibility needs of the Healthcare,
Government, Institutional and Industrial
sectors.
