Regularisation of employment status of certain temporary Public Health

Arising from the outcome of Labour Court Recommendation 18030 it is now
intended, as a once-off arrangement on all outstanding issues, to regularise the
employment status of existing temporary Public Health Nurses who have already
benefited financially under the terms of LCR 18030.
Accordingly, approval is now granted for those temporary Public Health Nurses
identified on the attached list to be confirmedas permanentPublic Health nurse as per
OoHC Circular 85/2000, subjectto:

Each nurse being entered on An Bord Altranais register for the
Public Health Nurse discipline;
-
Each nurse having worked continuously as a Public Health Nurse
since I SI January 2006;

Each nurse has already benefited under the terms of LCR 18030;

The deployment and assignment of the appointees is a matter for Directors of Public
Health Nursing in consultation with the Regional Human Resources Department,
having due regard to normal practice.
In relation nurses who benefited under LCR 18030 and who are not currently
employed as Public Health Nurses, those nurses should have their contractual status
in their existing posts examinedand regularised,where appropriate.
