1 Oz. Cannabis Quiz - School

1 Oz. Cannabis Quiz
Aim
For the young people to learn some facts about cannabis, via an informal quiz
that uses a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ point-scoring system that references the quantities
that cannabis is sold in.
You will need
• The quiz questions and answer sheets (below)
• Pens
• A small prize for the winner(s)
What to do:
Pass round copies of the answer sheets. Read the quiz questions to the young
people and ask them to guess if the answer for each is ‘true’ or ‘false’ Once you
have finished all the questions, go through the answers, briefly exploring each
as you come to it. The young people get 1/8th of a point for correct answer – the
winner is the person who has the most points (if they get 8 out of 8 they have
‘scored the ounce’!).

Reprimand and parent or guardian contacted (1st time caught) / final
warning and referred to Youth Offending Team (2nd time caught) / arrest

you’re carrying large amounts of the drug.
