Her poetry collections "Blue Vessel" and "Into the Migrant City" have been cited as best reads of 2012 and 2014 respectively. The short story collection "The House of Twining Roses: Stories of the Mapped and the Unmapped" (2014) continue to receive critical attention and her novel "Footprints in the Bajra" was longlisted in the 2011 Crossword Vodafone award. Nabina is a 2015-16 Commonwealth Foundation Feature Writer, a 2012 Charles Wallace Writing Fellow, and a 2012 Lavanya Sankaran Fiction Fellow at Sangam House, and her poetry and prose have been published in Prairie Schooner (University of Nebraska-Lincoln),The Yellow Nib: Modern English Poetry by Indians (Queen's University, Belfast), The Indian Quarterly, The Caravan Magazine, The Missing Slate, Good Housekeeping, and The Dhaka Tribune, among other publications. She often writes for Economic and Political Weekly, Scroll and BLink. Winner of several poetry prizes and residencies, Nabina has been a street theater performer, a folk and classical singer for some time, and most recently, co-editor of "40 under 40: an anthology or Post-Globalisation Poetry".
