PEAK Booster Club is a parent run organization that provides financial
assistance with the costs associated with being on a competitive team
through fundraising and sponsorships.
Our mission is to encourage and support PEAK athletes find their
Potential, Excel with a positive Attitude, self-confidence, respect and
Knowledge of their sport.

Welcome to the 2015-2016 PEAK competitive season!

This handbook contains information about the purpose of the PEAK Booster Club. Please
review and keep for reference, as these are guidelines to help us achieve our goals. We look
forward to watching the growth of all of our athletes this year! If you have questions, please
don’t hesitate to ask a coach or a PEAK Booster Club officer (listed on page 4).
•
The handbook will also help provide the expectations of the competitive team members,
methods of communication, explanation of team/competitive levels, and financial
responsibilities.
•
Updates and revisions will be made to the handbook as needed. You will be made aware of
changes via email. A current version of the handbook will be available on the PEAK website.
•
Thank you for your commitment and participation in the Booster Club, we look forward to a
successful season!
All athletes should have a cubby size box with the following items to leave at the gym:

Booster Club Objectives
• PEAK strives to keep costs as low as possible for the competitive team families.
• PEAK Booster Club is a parent run organization that raises money to help assist with
the costs associated with being on a competitive team. All competitive team
families are encouraged to be involved members of the Booster Club.
• Without the support of the Booster Club, both physically and financially, the cost of
being on a competitive team would not be feasible for most families.

– USA Gymnastics Membership Fee - $54 / athlete
– Registration Fees - $50-$100 per meet / athlete + team fees / meet

Fundraising
• All athletes and parents are encouraged to participate in each fundraiser.
For all mock meets and the home meets, each team will volunteer for each
other (weightlifting and cheer team will volunteer for gymnastics meet and
vice versa)
• Fundraisers will be set as far in advance as possible and will be
communicated via email and posted on the PEAK Booster Club Facebook
page. A few fundraisers have already been established. If you have any
ideas for a fundraiser and/or would like to lead one, please email us!

What to expect at competitions…
• Parents (Cheerleading, Gymnastics and Weightlifting)
– No parents allowed on the floor under ANY circumstance
– Communicate with coach in case of emergency
– Refrain from communicating with athletes until after competition
• Cheering and encouraging is fine! 

Must attend all scheduled competitions
White competition shoes must only be worn for practice and competitions.
Socks must be all white and no-show – NO color or designs
Arrival time will vary by competition.
Uniform must be on before entering the competition facility (with the exception of
shoes)
– Hair bows will be handed prior to each competition. Cheerleaders are responsible
to bring the bow and bobby pins to each meet. The bows will be returned to PEAK
at the next practice.
– Coach Taylor will do hair and make-up for competitions
– Length of competition varies based on how many teams are at each meet

– Plan on meets lasting 3-4 hours, then awards
– Gymnasts must stay through awards

• Compulsory = Level 4-5 Girls, Level 4-7 Boys
– Girls - Score out of 10 points
– Boys - Score out of 10 points.
• 1-3 bonus skills are allowed, depending on event, for 0.5 points.
• Optional = Level 6 & up Girls, Level 8 & up Boys
– Score out of 10 points IF all difficulty requirements are met
