On – Ramp to Algebra 1 What is it? The On -­‐ Ramp to Algebra 1 Tool is your key to success as you tackle Algebra 1 next year! The On-­‐ Ramp Tool will help you practice the skills that are needed to start the first day of class fully prepared. Don’t worry, if you forgot how to find the slope of a line, there are videos to help you master that and many other topics. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started! Getting Started: Go to MathNation.com and click “Enter Algebra Nation”, then “Enter Now!” 1. When you are prompted to enter your school, start typing, and wait for it to populate in the dropdown menu. Then, select your school name. 2. You will receive the following message: Click the blue ‘here’ to enter your credentials. 3. Sign in: You already have an account! If you don’t know your username or password, email [email protected]. My School: __________________________ My Username: _______________________ My Password: ________________________ Once you are logged in, you will see an Algebra Nation icon. Click to go to AlgebraNation.com! 4. You can explore all the resources! Select ‘On – Ramp to Algebra 1 (Pre-­‐Algebra)’ from the drop down menu in the upper left -­‐ hand corner. You can switch subjects at anytime! 5. Take the Start-­‐Up quiz to get placed in one of the five domains on the On-­‐Ramp Tool, then click “Let’s Go!” to move through the learning path portion of the tool!
