During this dinner there will be a presentation to a previously unrecognised person for the first of a series of KNACKIE HANDED AWARDS, to celebrate outstanding contribution to the traditional craft life of Orkney. Laldie Haans seeks ultimately to create a sculptural wall of talented Orcadian hands. The recognized people will have their handprints impressed in a clay tile. These tiles will be on display at the Standing Stones Hotel, in the Heart of Neolithic Orkney until a site is found for their permanent installation.
