IMPORTANT:
DDD-Dance Dance Dance—end of the year production features dancers from all Formal
Dancers Division classes (except Pre-Pointe, Competitive Ballet and Jazz Classes)
Tiny Tots Celebration features dancers from all Young Dancers Division classes
(Intro and Combo) with special appearance by our Diamonds Competition Team dancers.
NOTE: you do not need to purchase a ticket for your dancer for any production in which
they are performing. Tiny Tots will have an assigned seat with their class in the rehearsal
hall and “Dance Dance Dance” performers must remain backstage in their assigned
dressing rooms during performances.

Dance, Dance, Dance Tech Week/Rehearsal Schedule at SHUPAC
Solo Showcase
The Showcase will be held on Friday, June 2nd
in the Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center at 6:30pm.
We will continue to feature our solos, duets, and trios in a Solo Showcase performance. The numbers performed in the showcase will be any solos, duets, and trios that
have been in production the past dance season. This Showcase will give the dancers a
chance to shine as well as keep the recital length shorter and ensure the girls give their
best at all shows.
Parents, family, and friends are encouraged to attend. We will not charge admission but are asking for a $2 donation. We will be donating all proceeds to the Blackburn
Center. The Blackburn Center has been providing services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and other types of violence and crime in Westmoreland County. Seating for
the Solo Showcase will be a first come, first served basis. It will be a fun, laid back experience. If you only wish to watch your dancer perform, you may leave when they are finished.
The Showcase line-up is included in this booklet so you know approximately what
time your child will be performing. You may stay and watch the entire showcase or come
and go as you would like. We will have ushers making sure you enter and exit between
numbers so the dancers do not get distracted. Again, any family member or friend is welcome to attend!!

The Performances and Dress Rehearsals will be held at the Seton Hill Performing Arts Center
Concert Hall located in Downtown Greensburg.

Please review the enclosed performance schedules. You can then follow the rehearsal
schedule(s) that pertain to the show(s) that your dancer is participating in.

All dancers are to come to dress rehearsals with performance-ready hair and make-up.
Please bring your dancers costumes to dress rehearsal.

Dress rehearsals are closed rehearsals. Parents are more than welcome to wait for their
dancers in the lobby area. We would prefer that the parents of the younger students remain
in the building during their Tiny Tots dress rehearsal.

Dance Dance Dance dress rehearsal begins with the finale and then we run the show from
the beginning. Girls will wear their free t-shirt with BLACK dance shorts and boys should
wear their free t-shirt with black pants or shorts. Tiny Tots Celebration dress rehearsal will
run in order of the program in costume.

Please be sure to label ALL parts of your dancer’s costume wardrobe. We do not have replacement parts for costumes on hand. All costumes should be free of wrinkles. All ballet
shoes must have elastic sewn on. All dancers are encouraged to wear appropriate undergarments, please make sure they cannot be seen beneath the costume.

TICKETS are on sale now online at www.setonhill.edu/tickets or by calling the SHUPAC box
office at 724-552-2929. Individual tickets will be reserved seating at $9.00. Children 4 and
under are free (children must order a comp ticket to reserve the seat). Tickets will also be
available at the door. No tickets can be held without payment. Cash, check, or credit card
accepted. You do not need to purchase a ticket for your dancer for any production in which
they are performing. All “Tiny Tots” and “Dance Dance Dance” performers must remain
backstage during all performances.

Check your email for instructions on redeeming your 2 complimentary tickets per dancer online. You
can also call the box office and give your dancer’s name to redeem your 2 complimentary tickets per
dancer. You must place a ticket order to have a seat. Seats are not automatically reserved for you.

Doors to the Concert Hall will be opened a 30 minutes before curtain time on performance
days.

Each dancer receives a free t-shirt and a free keepsake program. T-shirts will be distributed
to each dancer backstage before dress rehearsals. Please do not ask to take one at the
door. Additional programs will be available at the door for $2.00.

BACKSTAGE HELPERS– We ask all families to help backstage or at the studio at some point
during the dance year. Parents please sign-up to be a backstage helper. See Miss Katie to
sign up.

SHUDA Program Ads
Each year, SHUDA publishes a full color program book that features group photos of all the classes, the
Diamonds team, and soloists that prepare through the program. Every dancer receives one of these program books. SHUDA families have the option of purchasing a full page, half page, or quarter page ad to be
included in this color program book. The ad features a full color photo of your dancer, their name, and
some text that you provide. Please see the order form in this booklet for program ad prices. In order to aid
TeaRose Photography in taking all of these photo shots in two days we place some restrictions on the
individual photos taken for the program ads at the studio.
For Everyone
Each class, Diamonds team, and anyone who is preparing a solo/duet/trio dance through SHUDA will be
scheduled a ten-minute time slot to have a photo taken on SHUDA Picture Days. Please arrive 15 minutes
before your scheduled photo time, we will not wait for late dancers.
For those who purchase a Program Ad
Dancers who have purchased an ad in the program will have an individual photo taken immediately after
the group photo with the costume you’ve indicated on your program ad order form (one costume ONLY). For Program Ads you must purchase and pay in advance for your ad (form on page 11) and also buy a
Tea Rose photo package (form on page 6-7). TeaRose photo packages can be purchased by bringing the
completed TeaRose Order Form and payment on Picture Day. Program Ad participants are limited to 1
individual costume and 3 poses during the scheduled time on SHUDA picture days. Please indicate on your
Program Ad order form the costume you intend your dancer to wear for the individual picture to aid us in
scheduling and staying on time. Deadline for program ad orders is Feb. 17th.
NOTE: If you want your dancer to have individual photos taken in multiple costumes OR you are not buying
a Program Ad but would like photos of your dancer, we ask you to schedule a photo session at the TeaRose
studio. Studio fee is $30 for solo photos in one costume or $45 for multiple costumes.
From March 14th-21st TeaRose Photography will put the individual ad photos online
at www.tearosephotography.com for you to view and choose the photo for your package. The photo you
choose for your package will also be the photo for your program ad (no exceptions). To be included in the
program, you must go online to choose your package/program ad photo by March 21st. If you do not make
your choice by March 21st, we will choose for you.
We do ask parents to remain outside the room on picture days. Too many bodies and voices in
the room causes confusion and tension for the dancers. The dance instructors know the best
poses for the dancers to hold for great photos and the photographers know how best to take the
great photos. We ask that you trust in their experience and knowledge to get the best photos of
your dancer.
Please remember that SHUDA handles the program ads and Tea Rose Photography handles the
actual photos.

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures for Rehearsal and Show Week
All Dress Rehearsals and Performances will be held at the
Performing Arts Center (PAC)
100 Harrison Avenue, one block up from the SHAC.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Dress Rehearsal Procedures:
 For Dress Rehearsals you may use the parking lot next to the PAC after 4:30pm on
weekdays and all day on weekends. All performers should be dropped off at the
BACK DOOR (door on the parking lot side of the building). A parent or instructor
will be posted at this door to check students in. Older dancers will help walk dancers to their designated dressing rooms.
 All rehearsals are CLOSED REHEARSALS. NO PARENTS will be permitted to watch.
We need students’ full attention during the limited amount of rehearsal time we
have and parents watching can be a distraction during the rehearsal process. We
appreciate your understanding.
 Performers are to be in their dressing rooms (READY TO DANCE) by 5:00PM.
Someone will be at the door by 4:30PM for check-in. Please arrive on time. We
keep all doors locked for safety reasons, and cannot guarantee once rehearsals
begin that a monitor will be at the door. Performers will be dismissed at 8:00 pm
at the BACK DOOR, where they entered. You will not be able to enter the building
until an Instructor or Parent Worker lets you in. Doors will be opened for parents
at 8:00PM.
 NO FOOD at Rehearsals or Shows. WATER ONLY, no colored beverages.

Performance Day Procedures:
 Your dancer is to be dropped off at the BACK DOOR at this time. A parent or instructor will be standing at the back door to check students in. Older dancers will
continue to help walk dancers to the dressing rooms.
 NO patrons are to enter through the back door to watch the show. Patrons
should use the front door under the marquee. This will keep our backstage secure.
 After the final curtain call (bows) of each performance, the performers will be
brought to the main lobby in costume for photo opportunities.
 Please do not come get your performer from the dressing rooms or backstage
during the performances. We closely monitor the dancers’ whereabouts and you
could cause alarm if your dancer is not in their assigned spot.
