September was a busy month, the residents enjoyed
many new activities especially during National Assisted Living
Week (NALW). The residents have also requested to have
hand massages and relaxation program at least once a week,
which was a new activity during the week. We had a raffle and
Open House on Friday of NALW that was a great success. We
would like to THANK everyone that donated to the raffle the residents enjoyed winning and having family members win. Also we
would like to Thank our new Chef Brian for the wonderful hor
d’oeuvres that he prepared for open house and we look forward
to trying more of his creations
October is looking to be just as busy, we have planned many
new and exciting activities such as the hand massage, relaxation, Tuesday trivia and more. We have two new volunteers that
will be starting in October, Lynn who works with children will be
volunteering a few times a month with the children. We are looking forward to getting together for activities with her. We also
have Claudia, who will be helping out on Tuesday afternoons!
On Sat. Oct 24th we will be attending the Festival of Nations put
on by Hobart & William Smith College and Geneva High School.
Please sign up for this event early.
On Oct 29th we will be going next door to DDSO for refreshments and to take a walk thru the Haunted House. Then on Fri
Oct 30th we will be having our costume Halloween party followed by trick or treaters from the boys and girls club, and any
family or staff children, or grandchildren are welcome to come.
The children will arrive around 4:30. Anyone wanting to pass out
candy to the trick or treaters is responsible for the purchase of
their own candy. All candy has to be in their original wrappers
and no baked goods. We will be expecting 25-35 children, so
please keep that in mind when purchasing candy. If anyone
needs help getting candy please see Cheryl!

Residents: Please remember to sign out and back in again
every time you leave Seneca Lake Terrace. When walking
outside, it is important that you let staff be aware of where
you are and always walk with a friend!

Memory Care News
Everyone is enjoying our new virtual
aquarium. The truth is, it is a DVD “
REEFSCAPES”. Showing four reefs
from the Figi Islands. We will get more
in the next few months.
To add more pleasure to those who enjoy books, we will be getting audio
books for our afternoon quite time. The
residents will select the books that are
of interest to them.
Fall brings new craft activities, and
scents to stir their memory, pumpkins,
apples, cinnamon and cider.
