Pedon Description:
Cg1 --- 0 to 19 centimeters; gray (5Y 5/1) moist, sand; single
grain; loose, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonfluid; clear.
Cg2 --- 19 to 35 centimeters; gray (5Y 6/1) moist, fine sand;
single grain; loose, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonfluid; 1 percent
subrounded 20 millimeters shale fragments and 2 percent shell
fragments; 1 piece of gravel and shell layer at 35 cm; clear.
Cg3 --- 35 to 55 centimeters; gray (5Y 6/1) moist, very fine
sand; single grain; loose, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonfluid;
abrupt.
Cg4 --- 55 to 74 centimeters; gray (5Y 5/1) moist, fine sand;
single grain; loose, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonfluid; 5 percent
flat 5 millimeters shell fragments; Nate V. sampled this
horizon for analysis as evidence of overwash event and shell
layer at 63 cn; clear.
Cg5 --- 74 to 108 centimeters; gray (2.5Y 5/1) moist, fine
sand; single grain; loose, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonfluid;
abrupt.
Cg6 --- 108 to 118 centimeters; gray (5Y 5/1) moist, very fine
sand; single grain; loose, nonsticky, nonplastic; nonfluid.
