Ways to Use BrainPOP at Home
BREAKFAST WITH BRAINPOP - Play a BrainPOP movie and quiz for your child
during your morning routine. It is a great way to introduce a new topic, review a
concept from school or explore a current event in a complete yet concise way.
DEAR TIM AND MOBY – All of our movies start with letters we received from kids or
adults wanting to know more about a given topic. Have your child write a friendly
letter to suggest their own BrainPOP movie topic.
SQUARE ONE - Need to research a topic or trying to decide what topic to research
for a school project? Have your child search BrainPOP to get a start on their projects
for safe and reliable information.
GIVE THEM A HAND - With BrainPOP, movies are just the beginning. Kids always
love hands-on learning. Try a few of the BrainPOP experiments with Bob the Ex-Lab
Rat, comics with Cassie and Rita, or any of our other related activities with your
child and help to bring learning to life at home.
RAINY DAY? HOORAY! - Does the weather have you down? Let your child choose a
fun BrainPOP movie to watch from the over 600 educational movies in the BrainPOP collection.
CONGRATULATIONS! - Use BrainPOP movies as a rewarding incentive for positive
behavior or the completion of chores and homework!
TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE – See what your child already knows and occasionally
have them take the quiz before watching the movie. This will help your child to listen
to content for the answers and gives them the opportunity to share their knowledge
with you.
TIM’S T-SHIRTS – Does your child have a flair for fashion? Let them create their own
curriculum themed t-shirts like Tim’s. These can be created on construction paper or
kick it up a notch and allow them to use fabric paint on inexpensive t-shirts.
THE PERFECT APPETIZER - Only a few minutes until dinner? Show a BrainPOP
movie and soak up some serious learning in a short amount of time!
…OR DESSERT! – Play a BrainPOP movie at before or after dinner for the whole
family! Take the quiz and try out some of the additional activities together. You
might be surprised with what your child teaches you!
