Nursery Rhyme Day
3rd March 2016
Dear Parents,
This term the students in Kindergarten have been reading nursery rhymes as part of their daily reading and
writing activities.
To celebrate Catholic Schools Week and as part of our Celebration of Learning we are having a fun nursery
rhyme morning on Thursday 10th March, 2016.
The students are asked to dress up as their favourite nursery rhyme character. They might like to come
dressed in jeans and a top and come as Jack, or wear a dress and come as Jill, or bring a spider and go as
Little Miss Muffet, or be creative and design a Humpty Dumpty outfit.
The students must wear enclosed shoes and be able to move freely as we will be playing a variety of games.
You are all welcome to join in with our morning activities. We will start our day with a sharing of our costumes
at 9:15am on the Infants Playground. We will then rotate around a variety of fun novelty events like a Hey
Diddle Diddle egg and spoon race.
We will conclude our morning activities with an early morning tea, so please bring your picnic blankets and join
us.
If you are available as a parent helper on the day to help run activities please complete the below form and
return to school by Monday 7th March 2016.
We are looking forward to celebrating with you.
As always thank you for your continued support.
