WELCOME BACK TO 2017!
A very warm welcome back to school for 2017. I hope
you enjoyed the break and spent precious time making
memorable moments for your family.
There are a few new faces to be seen around the
school and these include both students and teachers.
Please take the time to introduce yourself to your
child's teacher or have your child introduce you.
A couple of things to note:
*Arrival at school - we prefer children to arrive
between 8:30 and 8:45am. Where arrival is earlier
children, and their parents, must wait quietly under
the hall veranda until the 8:30 bell goes. This allows
teachers to finalise their planning for the day and to
be ready to meet and greet you and the children.
*School uniform. Blue polos, shorts, skirts and
skorts are the accepted items of school uniform.
Hats must be worn while children are outside and as
we are a SunSmart school. The acceptable hats are
wide brim and bucket hats.
POWHIRI
On Friday 3rd February there will be a Powhiri for all
new students, staff and families in the school hall from
10.10am – all welcome!
NEW TIME FOR WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
School assembly will be every second Friday at 10am
(even weeks). All welcome!

CHANGES TO CITY CHURCH CAR PARK
City Church is due for a major revamp and this will
include the car park. Work will commence this month
and will last for nine months. As well as building
alterations, there will be changes to the car parking
area and this will affect parking for our school parents.
We will let you know more details as they are available
but it may be time to think of an alternate drop off
option. Brookfield Terrace or down the goat track on
either Seymour Place or Crombie Street? Walking to
school is a great option.
