RAPPORT CREDIT UNION
“ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP” PROGRAM
Rapport Credit Union is offering a scholarship program to students who have successfully completed their secondary school studies, and
will be continuing their education as a full time student in any curriculum offered by an accredited University or College.

Purpose
The Rapport Credit Union scholarship fund provides financial assistance to students in
recognition of their contribution to their community.
Eligibility
To be eligible, the student or a parent or grandparent of the student, must be a member of
Rapport Credit Union
The scholarship will assist students who have successfully completed the secondary school
studies and will be continuing their studies in any full time program at a recognized University or
College.
Value of Award
Up to twelve scholarships, each valued at Five Hundred dollars ($500.00) will be awarded.
Selection Procedure
The successful applicants will be chosen by a Selection committee based on the following:
One scholarship per branch, the applicant can demonstrate community involvement (student
government, sports, community services, organizations etc.) , volunteerism and academics.
Application Procedure
Each applicant is required to submit:
■ completed application form, with account number (if applicant is not a member then
the application needs to be signed by the sponsoring parent/grandparent along with
their account number.
■ copy of the high school transcript
■ two reference letters, one from the secondary school i.e. teacher, coach, etc., and one from a
person familiar with the applicants involvement in community/organization activities. This
person should be unrelated to the applicant.
■ copy of acceptance letter at a post secondary institution
■ Attach a 500 word essay on how Rapport can serve younger members more effectively or what
they need from us as their financial institution.
Deadline Dates
Applications and all other supporting documentations must be submitted to your branch or any
branch of the credit union in an envelope marked: Rapport Credit Union “Entrance Scholarship
Program” on or before April 12, 2017.
