Television Sundays at 5:30 p.m. CT/ 4:30 MT. The
fascinating program takes us on an
exploration of the wonders of our region, from
our backyards to rugged landscapes. The show’s
hosts, Todd Magnuson and Terri Lawrenz,
appeal to the wonder all of us feel for the
world around us. It’s a show for all ages, but is
especially geared to elementary-age students.
It shows children and lifelong learners the
adventures to be found in our state.
Bring nature into the classroom with Nature
Adventures. It’s educational and fun.
Schoolroom visits for grades pre-K-8 feature
Nature Adventures hosts Terri Lawrenz and
Todd Magnuson and follow series themes like
animals, plants, minerals, and environments.
Each 30- to 45-minute presentation
consists of a clip from the series, educational
information, interaction between students and the
show hosts, artifacts and objects for students to
see and touch and more.
Nature Adventures has educational
materials designed for use in grades 3-5
classrooms, all correlated to SD Content Standards for Science, at SDPB.org/natureadventures.

“hands-on” learning. Live animals are in attendance
and students are given an opportunity to learn about
them closely!
