Expanded and standard form
Standard form is how numbers are generally written.
E.g. 123 456 789
Expanded form is writing the value of each digit. Example:
Standard form 123 456 Expanded:
you may also be asked to write the number in words. In the above
example that would be :
One hundred twenty three thousand four hundred fifty six
