A. Description of Contest:
• The “HitKickin’ Chicken” contest will offer multiple opportunities for listeners to
call in for an opportunity to win one or more times on weekdays on HitKicker
99.7 beginning 4/3/17 and ending 6/9/17, herein defined as “Contest Period”.
Station reserves the right to change Contest Period at its discretion based on
programming convenience, Contest popularity, and overall success.
• Listeners who call the HitKicker Contest line at (877) 997-1997 or (434) 9759970 in response to the cue to call will each be considered an Entrant within the
meaning of this Contest. Entrants may be recorded and Entrant calls may be
broadcast on air in the station’s sole discretion.
B. How Contest is played:
• Each weekday that the Contest is offered during the Contest Period, the station
will play a cue to call to solicit listeners to enter the Contest. The “HitKickin’
Chicken” Contest will be played at different times weekdays on air between the
hours of 6am - 7pm. After the cue to call is played and the caller number is
announced (e.g., the 6th caller or the 9th caller), HitKicker Contest lines will be
open so that listeners can call to try to be the correctly-numbered caller. The caller
number selected who submits a valid entry into the Station via telephone will win
a prize of one hundred dollars ($100.00). All winners subject to verification.
Odds of winning will depend on the number and relative speed of callers. Callers
may be disqualified if station determines that they are using automated dialers,
multiple phones, speed-dialing or other dialing methods that the station, in its
discretion, determines could give the caller an unfair advantage.
• The Station reserves the right to end or change the dollar amounts at any time.
Limit one prize per person during the Contest Period.
• To submit a valid entry to the Station, Entrants must call the HitKicker Contest
line at at (877) 997-1997 or (434) 975-9970, after the cue to call is played.
Important Note: By entering the Contest, Entrant agrees that any entry submitted
to the Station is the sole property of HitKicker 99.7, and may be aired in whole or
in excerpt by the Station. Entries submitted to the station will not be returned.
• The Station may, in its sole discretion, choose not to air a cue to call on any
weekday during the contest period. Contest entries will not be considered on days
which no cue to call is announced.
• All verified $100 winners will be entered into a “reverse drawing” scheduled to
be held on 6/17/17 at a location to be determined. The grand prize of $10,000
(ten thousand dollars) will be offered to the final remaining $100 winner at the
end of the reverse drawing.
• VERIFIED $100 WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE REVERSE
DRAWING IN ORDER TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO WIN. Odds of

winning the $10,000 prize will depend on the number of verified $100 winners
who are present at the reverse drawing event on 6/17/17 (or another date
promoted by the station if the 6/17/17 event needs to be rescheduled in station’s
sole discretion).
$100 winners will be required to check in and present valid, government-issued
photo I.D. in order to be included in the reverse drawing to have a chance to win
the Grand Prize. $100 winners must arrive and check-in in a timely fashion
according to instructions provided by the station, including the check-in deadline
which will be communicated by the station to each $100 winner. $100 winners
who are late, delayed, or do not show up for the reverse drawing at the time and
location on the event date will be subject to disqualification.
HitKicker 99.7, and Monticello Media are not responsible in any way if, for any
reason, any $100 winner is not contacted or fails to present on time for the reverse
drawing on 6/17/17.
HitKicker 99.7 and Monticello Media have sole discretion to determine whether
an individual(s) is violating the spirit of the competition by in engaging in actions
to gain an unfair advantage over other participants and to take appropriate action
to restrict those actions, including disqualification of the individual.
MONTICELLO MEDIA GENERAL CONTEST RULES
1. Must be 18 years old or older to win and a legal U.S. and
Virginia resident.
2. Employees of WCYK or its parent company Monticello Media or
respective affiliates, client sponsors and their respective families are
ineligible to win.
3. All prizes must be picked up within 30 days of winning date
from Monticello Media during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30
am-4:30 pm.
4. To claim prize, winner must provide valid, government-issued photo
identification, satisfactory to WCYK/Monticello Media in its sole
discretion.
5. In the event of a tie, the winner will by random drawing or another
means deemed appropriate by WCYK.
6. All prizes are awarded "as is." No change or conversion of prize for
cash will be permitted. Other than cash prizes, prizes have no cash
value and may not be substituted or transferred by winner. WCYK
reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the
scheduled prize becomes unavailable.
7. Date and time of promotion can change at anytime due to the
discretion of the general manager and or promotions department.
8. All decisions by WCYK Management are final.
9. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees,
licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole
responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize or prizes
valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their
winnings.
10. If winner requests for prize to be mailed, station does not maintain
liability for damaged or lost prizes.
11. Prizes will be forfeited or reassigned if not claimed within 30 days
from date of winning.
12. WINNERS AND ENTRANTS EACH AGREE, EXCEPT WHERE
PROHIBITED BY LAW, TO RELEASE AND DISCHARGE,
HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE
WCYK/MONTICELLO MEDIA, AND ALL OTHERS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION
OF THE CONTEST, FROM ANY AND ALL TAX LIABILITY
THAT MAY BE IMPOSED OR ASSOCIATED WITH RECEIPT
OR USE OF ANY PRIZE, AND FROM AND AGAINST ANY
AND ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, PROCEEDINGS, AND
LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, EXPENSES, FEES, INJURY
OR LOSSES (INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH)
SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH THE RECEIPT,
OWNERSHIP, OR USE/MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE OR WHILE
TRAVELING TO, PREPARING FOR, OR PARTICIPATING IN
ANY CONTEST-RELATED OR PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY.
WCYK/Monticello Media, and all others associated with the
development and execution of the contest are not responsible for any
printing, typographical, mechanical or other error in the printing of
the offer, administration of the Contest or in the announcement of
prizes or winners. Prize recipient may be required, at
WCYK/Monticello Media’s discretion, to execute a liability and
publicity release prior to the prize recipient’s receipt of any prize.
WCYK/Monticello Media retains the discretion to make all
decisions regarding the interpretation and application of the contest
rules.
13. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned
for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs,
tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures,
acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulation, disaster, fire,
strikes, civil disorder, or any other causes beyond the control of the
WCYK which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness,
integrity of the Contest, the station reserves the right in its discretion
to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry
process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest or
any portion thereof. The station reserves the right to select winners
from eligible Entries received as of any such termination date.
14. All contestants give station radio exclusive right to use their name
and /or any other likeness for promotional purposes.
15. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by
fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for (station) to
disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future
contests as well as forfeiture of any prizes won by fraudulent means.
16. You can only win a prize in a WCYK contest once every 30 days.
17. Requests for lists of contest winners must be mailed to WCYK and
received by WCYK within 60 days of the end of the contest, with a
self-addressed stamped envelope.
