Dear Parent/Carer
Year 10 Screening of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
As you will be aware, Year 10 study leave ends on Wednesday 3rd May. As some students
will be in exams on Thursday 4th May, the English Faculty will be screening an adaptation
of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, for students not involved in the morning’s exams.
Students involved in MFL oral exams will be able to come out of the screening, at the
appropriate time, to complete that part of their assessment.
We will be screening the 1931 film adaptation of the novel in the SandPit Theatre during
sessions 1 and 2. This is a good opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with
the storyline of Stevenson’s Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, which will be the next text they study
as part of their English Literature GCSE.
Yours sincerely
Emily Summers
