GETTING HERE
A number of airlines fly into Asheville Regional
Airport (AVL), which is a 20-minute drive from
our clinic. You can rent a car from the airport, or
take a taxi for around $50 (tell the cabbie we’re
just off New Leicester Highway, close to Patton
Avenue).
ASHEVILLE
Downtown Asheville is a vibrant area with
unique shops and restaurants, and just 10
minutes from campus. Your evenings and
weekends are free, so we hope you get the
chance to enjoy our city and surrounding area.
For more on the city’s tourist traps, click here/
visit www.exploreasheville.com.
GETTING AROUND
Although we would highly recommend a vehicle
to enjoy Asheville to the fullest, we do have a
city bus system, and there is a bus stop about a
block from the clinic (Line W4). Please note,
however, that the system is not as robust as
other cities and buses stop in the early evening.
The first day of training starts at 8:00 am.
Please meet us in the kitchen (Building B) at this
time and have your $60 deposit ready. You
should wear scrubs and have your stethoscope
handy.

This was an amazing experience that I would recommend to any vet
student, regardless of future career interest. My time at the Humane
Alliance made me more aware of the value of and need for high-quality,
high-volume spay/neuter programs and improved my clinical skills overall,
which is something I feel all vet students could benefit from.
