Rutland, MA 01543 Shirt Design STEM/Nova Award Program Achievement Opportunities Mill Town District is proud to showcase the BSA STEM/Nova Award Program initiative. The BSA STEM/Nova initiative brings a Scouting focus to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) that combines fun and achievement opportunities for youth at all levels of Scouting to explore potential career pathways and support critical skills development of our youth. This Camporee samples various STEM skills and ideas. Some projects will match requirements needed for the STEM/Nova Award and also offer a glimpse of some of the cool things available in the STEM/Nova program. Important Notes about Achievements during STEM Camporee: • • • We offer many OPPORTUNITIES for the boys to earn several achievements. The key here is the advance preparation and work during the Camporee by the scout to earn requirements. All Nova counselors and Supernova mentors must have current BSA Youth Protection training and certification. Successful completions of all requirements remain the responsibilities of the individual scout. Partial completion forms will be issued to everyone. As the nature of this STEM camporee will be having the boys applying all of their combined Scouting knowhow to bear on patrol-oriented, STEM and problem-based learning challenges, we have incorporated several of the requirements of NOVA track awards as part of this Camporee, SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
