Converting Temperatures To convert between Celsius and Fahrenheit, follow the formulae below. Celsius to Fahrenheit = 9/5C + 32 Fahrenheit to Celsius = 5/9 (F –32)
To go from Celsius to Fahrenheit, divide Celsius by 5 then multiply it by 9 and add 32 To go from Fahrenheit to Celsius, take 32 away from Fahrenheit then divide by 9 and multiply by 5 Example 1 48C = 48 ÷ 5 = 9.6 9.6 × 9 = 86.4 86.4 + 32 = 118.4F Example 2 28F = 28 ‐ 32 = ‐4 ‐4 ÷ 9 = ‐0.4 C
