Notice to Parents
Our school has available 58 Chromebook (notebook style) computer units which
students may borrow for class assignments. The school policy does NOT allow
these units to leave the building or remain in student lockers overnight. In addition
to the need for re-charging, accountability issues and an awareness of computer
condition must be monitored. Following numerous occurrences where signed-out
computers have not been returned by the end of the day and even as long as 48
hours later, and verbal reminders and encouragement given to guilty students, the
problem continues. Administration has now decided that after two late returns, the
guilty will be denied borrowing privileges. The replacement cost, which parents will
be responsible to pay for, of each computer is nearly $300. We have reluctantly
begun implementing this policy with two students repeatedly failing to comply with
the return policy. Please discuss responsibility and accountability with your child,
especially if they are regular users of the school’s Chromebooks.
Report Cards
Semester one report cards are scheduled to come out on February 10th. Along with the report card, you will
find your students’ fees statement as well as a listing of any outstanding library books and text books. Please
return or renew your books as soon as possible to avoid late fees. School fees are due so please pay the balance as soon as possible. If you are not able to pay the balance at this time please, contact Ms. Jollymore at
the school to make payment arrangements. Parent teacher interviews for Semester two will be on April 22
and 23. If you have questions about report cards, please contact teachers directly.
School Council
Please consider attending the next School Council meeting at 6 pm on February 9th. School council is
asking for your involvement and suggestions for how to better serve Breton High School and the student
body. We will be looking at our goals and vision statement. Please come with your questions, suggestions,
and ideas. We value your children and know that you do as well. Phone President, Wanda Frei @
780-696-2080 if you have any questions or suggestions prior to the meeting.
