All Practices will occur on the Back field of the School except for Shot Put (field by Parking lot)/ Discus (St. Leos Back Stop) and High
Jump in the Gym.
All Practices are open to all athletes for each practice except for High Jump. Junior Varsity (Grade 6) there is no Hurdles.
Must make 2 practices per event per week. Can split event over the lunch hour. Problems see the coaches of that event.
Only 5 weeks to pick the team.
Birth Dates: Junior Varsity – 2004/05, Juniors – 2003, Int. 2002, Seniors – 2001/2000
3 Athletes per event plus one sub = 4 athletes per gender and age group
Allowed to be in 3 events. Subbing counts as one event.
Dress for the weather.
Some teams may be selected from PE classes.
Check in with your coaches each practice. The more practices you make the better chance of making the team.
Try out for as many teams as possible.

TRACK ATHLETES MEETING
1. Team Expectations – Make 2 practices per team per week. If you cannot, see the coach.
- Check in with coaches for each practice
- Will only Take responsible kids to the track meet
2. Schedule – Posted in class rooms, PE Boards, and in booklet.
3. Birth Dates – Jr. Varsity – 2004/05, Jr. 2003, Int. 2002, Senior 2001/2000
4. Allowed to be on 3 teams. Being a sub is considered being on a team. 3 Athletes per team plus on sub per gender per age group.
Coaches will decide where you best fit on the team. You may be asked to do more than one event. You can not be a sub for only one
event and come track day.

Try out for as many events. Do not put your eggs in one basket. There will be only 4 weeks to pick the team.
Team will be picked on May 5. Track day is May 17 and alternate day is May 25.
Teams in our division are – Woodman, David Thompson, Shaw, Mountain Park.
Come out and work hard. Dress for the weather. All Practices are at lunch except High Jump – AM and distance in the AM. All
other events will start on April 6th.
