Signs, Symptoms, and Dangers of Senioritis
Symptoms: Laziness. Skipping classes. Failing to study hard for tests or to
write coherent papers. Disinterest in schoolrelated academics and
activities.
Diagnosis: Senioritis
Prescription: Graduation
Senioritis, according to the Urban Dictionary, is a crippling
disease that strikes high school seniors. While senioritis
isn't really a physical disease, it is a phenomena that
happens when a high school senior looks at the finish line
of their high school life and says to themselves, "I'm
done!" before they have actually completed the work they
need to graduate.
Senioritis, from the word senior plus the suffix itis (which refers to
inflammation but in colloquial speech is assumed to mean an
illness), is a colloquial term used in the United States and Canada
to describe the decreased motivation toward studies displayed by
students who are nearing the end of their high school career. "I
have a bad case of senioritis".
BEWARE OF THE SENIORITIS BUG!!!
