Babycall
Coming Home
Anna and her 8-year old son, Anders, are on the run from Anders’ violent father.
They move to a secret address in a giant apartment building. Anna is terrified that
her ex-husband will find them and buys a babycall to make sure Anders is safe while
he sleeps. But strange noises echoe in the babycall from elsewhere in the building.
Anna overhears what she believes is the murder of a child. Meanwhile, Anders gets
a mysterious, dark-haired friend who comes and goes as he wants. Does Anders’
friend know something about the sounds in the babycall? Why is there blood on
Anders’ drawing? Are they still in danger?
15-year-old Ida is a fashion blogger and city girl, and definitely unhappy about her
mother’s decision to move to a small farm in Northern Norway.

Hating her new life from the first moment, she thinks the other girls are stupid to
prefer horses to clothes and make-up. But a dramatic encounter with a horse called
Kehilan changes everything. Suddenly Ida becomes eager to learn to ride, and then
she discovers that the other girls are pretty OK. But upon discovering that Kehilan is
soon to be sent to the slaughterhouse, a self-centred interest in clothes and fashion
seems quite meaningless. But will Ida, against all odds, manage to save her horse?
Coming Home is a feel-good drama with tough girls and horses, in an engaging story
from the beautiful Helgeland Coast.

But behind the success we find the story about a man who ended up homeless,
with years of substance abuse before he got his commercial breakthrough. Even
Benestad and August Baugstø Hanssen give us an engaging and entertaining,
thought-provoking and, not least, honest portrait of Norway’s most distinct contemporary artist. At the same time, the film reflects on what is real in the life of
Pushwagner the artist and the human being. As he himself puts it: “It’s not true,
but it’s a good story”.

Sons of Norway
Turn Me On, goddammit
It’s not easy to rebel when your dad wants to join the party... One day (in 1979),
Magnus and his son Nikolaj hit the wall in their new terrace house in Rykkinn. Magnus is an architect, hippie and free spirit, a glaring exception in a community where
equality and conformity is the norm. He always stands up for his son, supporting
him unconditionally, even when Nikolaj decides to stop giving a damn. Sons of Norway is a film about rebellion, punk rock, suburban hell and the struggle between
freaks and punks. But most of all, it’s the story of an unusual father-son relationship,
and about the strength of the bonds we sometimes do our best to rip apart.
Alma is a small-town teen with a big imagination. Horny and looking for love, she
has only her lively imagination and a kindly phone sex operator to ameliorate her
frustratingly lonely and chaste life. But Alma’s active fantasy world and even more
active libido only seem to get her into trouble. Turn me on, goddammit is an offbeat
coming-of-age comedy with a deadpan sense of humor, enlivened by its rich sense
of fantasy and frank but sweet approach to teen sexuality.

Comrade
Fuck Up
Help
Magic Silver 2
Comrade is an anti-war movie. High
above the harsh Norwegian wilderness,
English and German pilots shoot each
other to the ground after a violent chance encounter. Isolated, they must fight to
survive the brutal winter. Though war
has made them enemies, antagonism is
hard to maintain as days go by. Through
mutual need, unlikely friendships bloom.
Somehow, they become comrades. War,
after all, is absurd.
Jack is pleased with himself for the first
time in years. He has decided to stop
fucking anything with a pulse and also
to cut back on his eager and enthusiastic
drug use. Then his best friend crashes
into a moose in the middle of the night
on the Swedish border. He is found with
a hoof buried in his forehead and 2.5 kilos of cocaine in the trunk. Over the next
24 hours, Jack loses his house, his girlfriend leaves him and takes their daughter with her. And as he is about to find
out: when you think you have hit rock
bottom, it can always get worse.
A nurse starts speaking English when
she is nervous. A translator compromises her integrity when translating
a bad novel. A woman turns down a
million-crown inheritance because of
pride. Three women all have a small
soft spot in their personality, and are
hit hard when their idiosyncrasies meet
the light of day. A tragic comedy about
human failure.
The first Scandinavian 3D film, and sequel to the feature Magic Silver which
became a big success with over 375
000 admissions in Norway and sold
worldwide to more than 50 countries.
The story is set high up in the Blue
Mountain, where young queen Blureose finds it more and more difficult to
live within the boundaries of the Blue
Gnome community. When she becomes
aware that a dangerous glacier is threatening the Blue Mountain valley and
the Red Gnomes living there, she sets
out on a journey to find the Blue Horn,
a magical instrument that can change
the weather. With this instrument she
might be able to save the Red Gnomes.

Tough Guys
Victoria
It’s been a very long time since humans lived on Earth.
Thousands of years ago, when they were forced to leave, it was ruined by over-exploitation. A return in the
foreseeable future seemed impossible. Eventually the
humans found another solar system with the inhabitable planet Betalós. But even though they lived here for
several generations, it never felt like home. A collective
depression had slowly grown, and made them strangers
even too themselves. The memories of Earth are vague,
almost mythic.
Modulf is a small 11-year-old superhero. Every day
at school he is bullied by the tough guys, Frank and
Jørgen. And that’s fine. Because then Modulf saves the
other children from being bullied. One day Lise joins
Modulf’s class. She cares, and creates havoc in the
ranks. Suddenly Lise is the one in the middle of the
storm who must be saved. Modulf is forced to face
his own situation – and do something about it. Tough
Guys is a funny, warm and serious story about bullying and friendship, based on Arne Svingen’s bestselling
children’s book “De Tøffeste Gutta”.
First published in 1898, this poetic, psychologically
intense novel by acclaimed Norwegian writer Knut
Hamsun has endured as a classic portrayal of love’s
predicament in a class-bound society. Set in a coastal
village of late nineteenth-century Norway, Victoria
follows two lovers whose yearnings are as powerful
as the circumstances that conspire to thwart their
romance. Johannes, a miller’s son turned poet, finds
inspiration for his writing in his passionate devotion
to Victoria, a daughter of the impoverished lord of
the manor, who feels constrained by family loyalty to
accept the wealthy young man of her father’s choice.
Separated by class barriers and social pressure, the
fated duo hurt and enthral each other by turns as
they move toward an emotional doom that neither
will recognize until it is too late.
Secret missions to search for new solar systems were
initiated by different governments. On one of these
missions, a space shuttle with six crew members and
eight incubated children gets lost. For months they drift
farther and farther out in space. When the shuttle finally gets operative again, they have lost all contact with
Betalós, yet the radar indicates what looks like a solar
system. After a long discussion, four of the crew members win the vote to set course for the unknown. With
minimal oxygen resources, it’s a one-way ticket journey.
