These sandpaper sheets are ideal for dry sanding between
coats of varnish, paint, and other finishes. The abrasive surface
has been treated with white stearate, a coating that resists clogging and extends abrasive life. The abrasive is silicon carbide,
a sharp and extremely hard synthetic mineral that cuts fast and
satin smooth.

Open Coat A Wt.
A specially treated open coat silicon carbide paper for use
whenever filling or loading of the abrasive is a problem. The
lightweight paper stock is intended for use with hand pad and
disc sanders. These sheets offer a better finish with fewer
paper changes for finishing and blending operations, white
wood sanding, plastics, and fiberglass.

3M Wetordry™ sheets use a silicon carbide abrasive for
efficient cutting and high wear resistance. They feature a waterproof resin-over-resin bond that resists heat and holds the abrasive particles more firmly than conventional glue or resin-overglue bonds. Because the sheets are resistant to oil and water,
they can be used with a lubricant to reduce clogging, extend
abrasive life, and improve finish.
