A big weekend of

much of the competition.
The championship
rounds took place on
Sunday and began with
New York City defeating
Adirondack by a 8-2 score.
Then Central New York
faced off against Western
New York, with the west
clawing out a 2-1 victory,
setting the stage for a New
York City versus Western
New York championship
game.
New York City
blasted Western New York
with a 7-3 victory to take
the gold medal.
Western New York
went home with the silver
medal and the bronze
medal was taken by
Central New York.
On Saturday, the team
from NYC set the tone for
their gold-medal run with
several big wins. They beat
Adirondack 8-0, Western
New York twice with 6-1
and 7-1 scores and then
Central New York, 2-1.
A team from Hudson
Valley also took part in the
hockey competition.
The Adirondack
team did have a victory on
Saturday with a 7-1 victory
over Hudson Valley. In its
other games, the team tied
Central New York 1-1, lost
to NYC 8-0 and Western

It was reported over
the weekend that many of
the New York City team
members were past or
