It is a powerful tool to help you and your office staff do business with HAP Midwest Health Plan efficiently in real time. There are many reasons to use the HAP Midwest Health Plan’s website. It’s easy to use and available at no cost to you. You can view and access the following information and functions: Eligibility and benefits Claim information Electronic Referral/Certifications (coming Soon) For Provider Registration Biller and/or Provider User Registration Biller and/or Provider User Information TAX ID Should match the TAX ID of the Biller Admin/Provider Admin. Username All Username are associated with an individual, generic Usernames are prohibited Users Last Name Users First Name The name under which the business conducts its operations Physical address of the Business, must match HAP Midwest Health Plan’s records Used for Suite or Unit number of business Last Name First Name Legal Business Name: Address Line 1 Address Line 2 City State Zip Phone E-mail Address Confirm Email Address: City the business is located must match HAP Midwest Health Plan's records State the business is located must match what HAP Midwest Health Plan's records Consisting of a five- or nine-digit code The number the provider can be reached Email address you would like to receive electronic communication Confirm the Email address listed Create Password Password Confirm Password Security Information Security Questions Answer The user alphanumeric and at least 8 characters in length. The password is case-sensitive. Re-enter the password A challenge question is required should the user forget their password. This is the answer to the challenge question. This should be something the user can easily remember. The challenge answer is not casesensitive. Permissions Remittance Advice Requesting’s the ability to view all documents supplied that provides notice of and explanation reasons for payment, adjustment, denial and/or uncovered charges of a claim. 835 Requesting access to view electronic Remittance Advices. Finance Reports Requesting access to the financial activities of a business, person, or other entity Eligibility Requesting access to view member’s eligibility. Claims and Auths Requesting access to view and/or enter claims and authorizations for the provider. Please Note: There is an automatic time out and user re-authentication after 20 minutes of inactivity, Frequently Asked Questions Q: I forgot my User ID/Password. What should I do? A: If you have forgotten your username/password click forgot username/password link. Q: I would like to change my password. What should I do? A: If you would like to change your password, log in using your current user name and password and select the "update profile" link. You will be asked to enter your current password and the new password desired. Your password must be at least to eight characters and must not contain any spaces, may contain special characters (@, #, $). Q: My account has been inactivated. What should I do? A: An account can be locked if you incorrectly enter your password five times. Your account will automatically unlock after a period of 30 minutes. Q: What do I do when my profile cannot be found while I am trying to register? A: Confirm that the information you have entered (TAX ID) is correct. Also, you must currently be an existing provider in order to successfully register. If you continue to have this problem, contact your Provider Services Representative. Q: What do I do when the application indicates that I am entering incorrect information but I have verified that I have entered everything in correctly? A: Although you are entering your information correctly, this information does not match what HAP Midwest Health Plan has on file for you. If you are a Billing User please send an email to [email protected] with Billing User Issue as the subject, if you are a Provider User please contact your Provider Representative. Q: What do I do when I have not been approved access under the Federal Tax- Identification Number I have requested? A: This means the Provider/Billing Administrator for this Tax-Identification number has not given you permission to view information associated with this account. You may log on to the website and click on the Admin reminder button, this will send an email reminder to the Provider Administrator that you are still waiting on your access to be approved.
