Old Halls Pictures
As we are celebrating the 100th year of Halls School, we are looking
for any old Halls School photographs that you might have. We are
particularly seeking photos from the old school (pre-1986). If you have
any that you are willing to share, please send them to the Halls
Elementary office in an envelope with your name and your child’s
name clearly labeled. We will scan them and return them to you. Thank
you for your help in celebrating our historic school!

Halls Houses
We are excited to announce our Halls House System! Students and teachers
will work on cross grade-level teams to earn points for their houses through
positive actions. Each house is named after the Latin term for different
positive character traits and a house color. There are six houses:
AEQVITAS (yellow house) - The House of Respect
CARITAS (red) - The House of Caring
FIDELITAS (blue) - The House of Trustworthiness
LVSTITIA (orange) - The House of Fairness
PIETAS (purple) - The House of Citizenship
PROBITAS (green) - The House of Responsibility
Students are encouraged to wear their house colors on Fridays to show their
house pride! Watch the board in the front lobby to see the current house
standings. We will announce who is in the lead each week, and at the end of
the 9-weeks grading period, the lead house will have a dance party in the
gym! We are enthusiastic about this fun way to reinforce positive actions,
teamwork, and perseverance!
Message from the Student Council
On behalf of Student Council,
I would like to say thank you so much for donating to our Blessing Bags
drive! As you may have seen, our goal was to create 40 bags filled with
hygiene products, food, warming clothing items, etc to help the homeless
people in our area. Because of your generosity, Student Council members
were able to put together 156 Blessing Bags at their meeting last week!!!
Thank you so much for your donations and support and we appreciate you
being a blessing to us and to the less-fortunate people in our local
community!
With sincere gratitude,
Ms. Smith, SC sponsor
