Español III/ III Honores Guía de estudiar: El examen del semestre FORMAT & CONTENT OF MIDTERM EXAM The midterm exam is cumulative and therefore will include information from chapter 5A, 5B, & 6A. Your exam consists of three different parts including multiple-­‐choice (includes listening), speaking and writing. The multiple-­‐choice section will include vocabulary and grammar from all chapters that we have studied. SPEAKING PORTION: You will be speaking about a sports game that you watched on television. On the day of
your speaking exam, you will be given 5 minutes to brainstorm your ideas then you will
be expected to speak for a specified amount of time.
Honors: You will be speaking for 50 seconds to a minute.
Regulars: You will be speaking for 40-45 seconds.
Use this time to study and practice.
READING & WRITING PORTION: You will be given a reading about a beauty contest and you will be expected to read the article, analyze the main ideas and summarize it using the vocabulary & grammar we have learned in the chapters we have studied so far this year. Chapter 6A vocabulary and your notes regarding the preterite & imperfect tenses will especially help you. MULTIPLE-­CHOICE PORTION: This portion of the exam includes a listening piece and a reading comprehension section. The other questions will focus on vocabulary, verb tenses and grammar topics from chapters 5A, 5Band 6A. You should use the following information to guide you through an adequate review of the content we have learned so far this year.
