Tea Time Fun & Friendly Competitions!
Tea Cup Exchange
Bring a teacup to exchange or buy one at the event for $5.00. After the tea party, feel free to take your new teacup home or spread
the good cheer by donating your teacup to the MCV Teacup Ministry. A member of the Moss on the James Society will fill your
donated teacup with flowers and an inspirational saying and deliver it to a chemotherapy patient at MCV. Your participation will
surely warm the heart of someone in need of a little comfort.
Best Bonnet Competition
That’s right ladies, wear your best springtime hat for this wonderful afternoon of tea and fun. A unique prize will be awarded by our
select panel of judges for the Best Bonnet! Be bold! Be creative! Be colorful!
Tea Time Table Decoration Contest
Reserve your table today and enter the Moss on the James Tea Time Table Decoration Contest. Tables (5’9” X 29”) will be provided or
you may supply your own. Those wishing to enter this exciting contest may decorate their table on Friday, May 6th from 5:00 -7:00
p.m. To enter the contest, please mark the appropriate box on the reply card and be prepared to wow the guests with your creative
table decoration creation! Remember that the theme of the day is Tea Time Around the World! Our panel of judges will be awarding a
wonderful prize to the winner! (Limited number available - participants will be notified.)
Scone & Cookie Contests
What would tea time be without something sweet? Bring in a plate of two dozen of your best cookies or scones and let our judges
decide who serves the best tea time treat! Let us know what you will be bringing on the enclosed reply card. The prize for this contest is sure to be sweet.
