The area north of Colac is famous for its volcanic past. Visit
both east and western lookouts at Red Rock to view the vast
volcanic plains, dormant craters and crater lakes of Kanawinka
world listed Geopark.

A 1.5 hr return walk from campground, or 30min return walk from day carpark accessed via second
bridge, across the ford (dry conditions only).
Start at the Elliot River PIcnic Ground (via Ellliot River Rd), follow the track down to Shelly Beach, return
via the same track. At low tide an alternate loop walk is accessed 400m west via rock platforms and a
track on east side of river mouth.
A looped boardwalk for all groups. Stop at the magnificant 300 year old National Trust registered
Myrtle Beech tree.
Cross the creek via large stepping stones, pass by tree ferns, lichen and mosses to the waterfall at the end.
Note:Track subject to flooding after heavy rain.
