Looking for ways to make challenging your brain a part of your daily
routine? Try our 8 tips to get you there from dusk until dawn:
1. Too groggy in the morning for a brain workout? Try brushing
your teeth with your other hand.
2. Driving to work or to pick up the kids? If you’ve got a bit of
time, why not try a different route!
3. Solve a crossword with your morning coffee.
4. Read a book during your lunch break.
5. Try some memory games in the afternoon.
6. Instead of reaching for the frozen dinner section, find a new
recipe and try cooking dinner yourself.
7. Wind down the day with a board game.
8. Keep up hobbies such as sewing instead of turning on the
TV.

“The beauty of the trees, the softness of the air, the
fragrance of the grass, speaks to me.
The summit of the mountain, the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea, speaks to me.
The strength of the fire, the taste of salmon, the trail
of the sun, and the life that never goes away, they
speak to me.
And my heart soars.” – Chief Dan George
God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.
These are words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me. Flare up like flame
Please note the following summer plans:
Today, August 9th and next Sunday August 16th
Graham will celebrate and preach.
August 23rd and 30th & September 6th and 13th
Mona will celebrate and preach.
and make big shadows I can move in.
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don't let yourself lose me.
Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousnes.
Give me your hand.

St. George's family,
It is very difficult for us to
say goodbye to this
congregation that has
truly become a family.
We will miss each and
every one of you dearly.
Thank you all for being so
welcoming to Matthew,
me and now our wee
Zenaida.
We pray for the continued
ministry in the community
by St. George's and within
the congregation itself.
God bless you all.
Matthew, Alexis, and
Zenaida Schmidt
